TRIATHLON CLUB FORMING!!!!

Hi Everyone,
We will be forming a triathlon club for the Summer 2008 season. The first meeting will be Jan 11th at 6:30pm at the Bard's house. If you have any questions, please call me at 428-1131.

We had a great time at the Strawberry Run. It was a Florian Family sweep!! Everyone got a trophy except Jordan. Unfortuately, his age group was under 20 years old! That means he competed against all the high school cross country runners. I will tell you, he beat all of us. Soundly..

Also running were: Joshua Ralston, Rebekah and Lydia Bard

I hope you can all run the Blanket Run this coming weekend-June 16th. Check the smcs website for details. This is for a great cause and we can do something to help others.

. We are meeting this Friday June 15 at 7:30am at Eaton Park (off of Lincoln). If the weather is nice and time permits, we will do some exercises after our run and maybe then a game of kickball or spongeball! Come stay as long as you like. Seems like warm weather might actually be here which means wet grass for playing games. You might want to bring an extra pair of shoes to play in that you don't mind getting wet.

Let's start thinking about a team name, mascot, color etc... We can post our ideas on this website and then have a vote. You can post ideas on the "forum" section of this website.

Some ideas for 5Ks that we should be ready for:

Countryside Academy 5K run June 23rd 10:00am. Starts at Meadowbrook Rd in Benton Harbor. This is a trail course through a wooded area which would be good for all of you interested in Cross Country running.

Cheetah Chase June 23rd- This is a 5K run through the Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek. After the run, you receive a free pass for that day to the zoo!! (This can offically be counted as a day of Science) Online registration is available at www.binderparkzoo.org
